Weigh-2-Go! - Community Weight Management

Weigh-2-Go! is a programme designed to help people lose weight through eating healthily and becoming more active. It targets people who may be at risk of developing health problems due to their weight. The programme is also of value to people who have existing health problems and would benefit from losing weight.

There are two elements to the programme:

  • Interactive weight management advice and information
  • Exercise/Physical activity

We cover a variety of different topics on the programme, these include:

  • Eatwell plate and portion sizes
  • Fad diets/barriers/motivation
  • Hidden sugars
  • Food labels and meal planning
  • Benefits of exercise
  • Focus on fat

The programme includes 1:1 assessments and support from the Healthy Lifestyles Team.

The Weigh-2-Go! programme is not a diet, we focus on making changes that will help people to manage their weight and stay healthy in the long term.

If you are interested in joining the programme

Speak to your GP or Health Professional to see if you are eligible.

If you fit the criteria to join the programme, you will receive a referral form.
