Property Flood Resilience Scheme Grant

The government has announced that Property Flood Resilience Scheme grants of up to £5,000 will be made available to help homes and businesses to become more resilient to flooding by helping to pay for a range of property improvements. It will go towards the additional costs of installing fittings and materials that increase resistance to damage from water in the future, such as putting in flood doors and raising electrics off ground level.

The Government has confirmed that property resilience grants will be available to properties that have been flooded due to storms Ciara and/or Dennis. Please contact our Regeneration and Housing Team for further information on the Governments scheme if you wish to apply for a grant. Please note that grants are only payable on agreed work up to a maximum of £5000 including VAT.

Grants are not available for those properties that have previously been awarded a grant.

To discuss a grant please telephone  01200 425111 and ask for Colin Hirst or a member of the Resilience grants team or e-mail housing@ribblevalley.gov.uk and we will get in touch.
