Residents Invited to Affordable Housing ShowcasePublished Wednesday, 08 June 2016
Ribble Valley residents are invited to an affordable housing showcase on Thursday, 16 June.
The event, at Whalley Village Hall, will feature over 100 properties currently under development in Whalley, Billington and Barrow.
Several housing providers and developers will be on hand to outline affordable properties that are available to anyone with a Ribble Valley connection.
Information on how to register for the properties, which include shared ownership, rented, discounted two and three-bedroomed houses and homes for the elderly, will be available.
Simon Hore, chairman of Ribble Valley Borough Council’s health and housing committee, said: “The provision of affordable housing, particularly for younger and older residents, is one of the biggest challenges facing the council.
"We are working closely with housing providers to address this problem and this registration event will showcase the much-needed high-quality affordable accommodation currently under development in the borough.”
The event takes place from 3.30 to 6.30pm and everyone is welcome.
