The important role is to assist the panel by providing independent challenge, making make sure that the views of the public are heard and also influencing policy decisions.
Paul Elms, Vice Chair of the panel, said: “We look forward to welcoming another member, this role brings balance to the membership and adds a very different and much needed perspective’.
The role is unpaid though expenses are reimbursed for any costs incurred. There is a comprehensive induction and training programme.
