General Election Candidates in Ribble Valley 2017

The UK goes to the polls in a snap General Election on Thursday 8 June.

The election has attracted four candidates for the Ribble Valley constituency

They are Nigel Evans (The Conservative Party), David Hinder (Labour Party), Allan Knox (Liberal Democrat) and Graham Sowter (The Green Party).

Ribble Valley residents not registered to vote are advised to do so without delay if they want to have their say in the General Election.

The deadline for joining the borough’s register of electors in time for the General Election is midnight on Monday 22 May.

And the deadline for registering for a new postal vote or making changes to an existing postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 23 May.

To vote, people must be registered to vote, aged 18 years or over, a British, Republic of Ireland or qualifying Commonwealth citizen, and not subject to any legal incapacity to vote.

Polling takes place on Thursday 8 June, from 7am to 10pm.
