Have your Say on Housing and Economic Development Sites

Residents in Ribble Valley are invited to have their say on amendments to the borough’s housing and economic development plan.

The plan, or DPD, outlines land set aside for housing and economic development in the borough and will be used to determine planning applications until 2028.

It also outlines work undertaken on retail and town centre boundaries, open space designations and revised settlement boundaries, as well as where development is likely to take place, including committed sites and a small number of new allocations, although it is not a review of the Core Strategy.  

The document has been subject to extensive public consultation and will be submitted to the Government for consideration on Friday 28 July, although a six-week consultation on its amendments will take place from Monday 31 July, to 5pm on Monday 11 September.  

The consultation relates to amendments being proposed to the plan and not previous objections.

The amendments can be viewed at Housing and Economic Development DPD or the Ribble Valley Borough Council Offices in Church Walk, Clitheroe, from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. It can also be viewed at Clitheroe, Longridge and Mellor Libraries, the Civic Hall and Station Buildings in Longridge.
