Health and wellbeing is the subject of a showcase in the Ribble Valley Borough Council Chamber on Tuesday 19 September.
The free event, from noon to 2pm, will include displays by around 20 local health and wellbeing service providers and community groups.
It is part of a Health and Wellbeing Week being organised by Up and Active in partnership with other East Lancashire providers to raise awareness of the wide range of services available to help residents live happier, healthier lives.
The showcase will feature the council’s healthy lifestyles, Up and Active, housing, regeneration and environmental health teams, the Ribble Valley Dementia Action Alliance, the Ribble Valley Community Safety Partnership, the Ribble Valley Community Alcohol Partnership, community transport scheme the Little Green Bus and the East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group.
Other events during Health and Wellbeing Week include: 17 September – family fun fest at Roefield Leisure Centre, 18 – free health checks at Longridge Community Gym, 19 – free health checks at the Ribble Valley Borough Council Chamber and fruit-tasting session at Ribblesdale Pool, 21 – Up and Active introductory session at Whalley Health Centre, 22 – Up and Active introductory session at Clitheroe Hospital, 23 – Tai Chi taster in the Clitheroe Castle grounds.
