Craftworkers who live and work in the North West have the chance to exhibit at the popular Platform Gallery in Clitheroe.
The Station Road gallery will host its Craft Open from 14 April to 23 June featuring work from some of the region’s best craftspeople.
Any type of craftwork will be considered for the exhibition, including woven, stitched, felted and constructed textiles, ceramics, jewellery, metalwork, woodwork, furniture, glass, calligraphy and mixed media.
Work can be two or three-dimensional, must be well-crafted and of an original, contemporary design, and made in the last 12 months.
A variety of prizes are up for grabs, including the Selectors’ Prize for Innovation, which offers the winning Ribble Valley exhibitor a pop-up showcase in the gallery shop, a People’s Choice Prize and Best Newcomer Prize.
Platform Gallery supervisor Helen Cresswell said: “There is a rich artistic heritage in the North West and the Craft Open has a reputation as one of the best exhibitions of its kind in the area.
“We are committed to supporting the region’s emerging talent and this is a fantastic opportunity for craftspeople to exhibit their work at a leading gallery.”
Up to six pieces may be submitted to the Craft Open for a £15 entry fee and the deadline is Wednesday, 28 February.
