Information on council building closures and accessing open spaces as a result of coronavirus COVID-19.

Council Offices

Council Offices and our Contact Centre will close at 5:00pm Friday 22 December and reopens at 9.00am on Tuesday 2 January 2024 (8.45am for telephone calls to 01200 425111).

Many services such as bill payments and reporting services can be done via our website.

During this time if you find yourself in an extreme circumstance, where there's an immediate threat to health and safety please use our emergency phone number 01200 444448.

Committee Meetings

The legislation allowing for remote meetings expires on 7 May 2021. Committee meetings will therefore return to taking place in the Council Chamber, 13 Church Street, Clitheroe effective from the first meeting in the new municipal year on 25 May 2021. Guidance on holding Covid safe meetings will be followed.

Please Note: Attendees at Committee meetings will be required to wear a face covering. It is advised that attendees have a lateral flow test prior to attending the meeting and if you feel unwell or have symptoms that may be Covid related please do not attend. Please wear warm clothing and footwear as the Chamber will be well ventilated. The numbers of spectators may need to be restricted in the event of a large number of attendees.
