Commercial Waste Collection
The council offers a commercial waste collection service. All non-domestic premises, including schools and charities must use a commercial waste service to dispose of their refuse.
The Environmental Protection Act 1990 provides information on the responsibilities of businessess and commercial waste removal.

We can provide a bulky waste collection service for the removal of larger items or excess waste.

Please note: The collection of food waste is being rolled out across the UK, including Ribble Valley throughout 2026/27.
What is the cost for this service?
Business Rates do not cover the removal of waste from commercial premises.

Commercial bulky waste
We offer a chargeable service for the removal of bulky waste from commercial premises.
The minimum charge for the service is £69.60 however all collections will be assessed and then you would be advised of the exact cost. If you would like to book a collection contact us tradewasteenquiries@ribblevalley.gov.uk or 01200 425111.
Please note we do not collect commercial fridges or freezers. If you have one of these that need collecting please contact us and we will advise how to dispose of these.
Stay legal and avoid fines
The council does NOT remove trade waste from public bins. Disposing of commercial waste in domestic bins, litter bins, or at household recycling centres is illegal, and enforcement action will be taken.
