What does it do?

HOME REPAIRS SUPPORT SERVICE Help and advice on all aspects of property repairs, improvements, aids/adaptations and maintenance that may be required. ☺ TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE We have a Technical Support Team who will visit homes in order to advise on works necessary including providing written reports and guidance. ☺ HANDYPERSONS SERVICE – Over 65s only The Handypersons service provides labour to carry out small essential repairs needed to the home. There may be a small charge for the labour and any materials used. ☺ HOMECARE JOINERY SCHEME We provide competitive quotes for most joinery works. ☺ RECOMMENDED TRADESMAN LISTS Working in partnership with Trading Standards we have lists of reputable local tradesmen. ☺ HOMESAFE SERVICE All our Repair Officers are trained by Lancashire Constabulary to provide crime prevention advice. ☺ AFFORDABLE WARMTH - WARM N WELL We will advise on and apply for any grants available in order to keep homes warm and energy efficient. ☺ RECYCLING CENTRE We now recycle aids no longer required and give clients who have to pay for their equipment a choice of purchasing reconditioned items. ☺ MEMORY MATTERS We carry out free home assessments for people living with memory loss and dementia to aid independent living by providing advice on innovative products and funding sources. We ensure carers have sufficient support and respite and manage all referrals inhouse reducing stress and concerns for carers.
