Ribchester Roman Festival
Located in Ribchester, a significant roman site, this award-winning event, involves battle re-enactment displays where visitors should expect to be fully immersed in the Roman lifestyle.
Two re-enactment societies will once again mount displays on Ribchester Playing Field on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July 2025. Meet legionaries, cavalry and Roman citizens face to face as the Roman Military Research Society and Equistry march into Bremetennacum Veteranorum. On show will be exciting military displays, including the firing of artillery, archery and the Roman cavalry, along with colourful demonstrations of everyday life. There will be opportunities for children to dress up in Roman armour and our famous Roman snacks will be available.
