Hidden Hoards & Fascinating Finds!

This brand new exhibition showcases some of Lancashire's best archaeological finds.
The objects featured belonged to people in Lancashire spanning thousands of years, from a 4000-year-old gold armlet buried by our prehistoric ancestors to a thimble lost in the 1600s.
Curated by Lancashire County Council Museum Service, the exhibition delves back through Lancashire's history, exploring the stories surrounding these objects and how they came to be buried in the ground. A number of finds from the Ribble Valley are also in the exhibition including the Waddington Hoard and the Pendleton Bead.
Entry to the exhibition is part of museum admission. Adults £5.10. Anyone 18 years or younger goes free.
The museum is open daily March to October and Friday to Tuesday from November to February. For full details of opening times and events at Clitheroe Castle Museum visit http://tiny.cc/ClitheroeCastleMuseum
Clitheroe Castle Museum is managed by Lancashire County Council's Museum Service on behalf of Ribble Valley Borough Council.
