This July and August, Stonyhurst Museum & Historic Collections open their doors for a unique summer experience—guided tours through the College’s Grade I-listed buildings, historic libraries, and museum galleries. Explore Elizabethan halls, view Oliver Cromwell’s table, and step inside the Bayley Room, Great Hall, Long Room, and Philosophers’ Common Room.

- Tolkien’s “Shire” – Discover the landscapes that inspired Middle-earth and explore rare Tolkien artefacts.
- Sherlock Holmes Origins – Visit the desk where Conan Doyle first wrote, alongside early reports and letters.
- Shakespeare’s First Folio – View a genuine First Folio and manuscripts connected to the playwright.

Dates: Fridays, Saturdays and select Sundays, from 11 July to 23 August
Tour Times: 30-minute guided slots between 10:00 and 15:00
Tickets: £12.50 per adult; under‑16s go free
