Castle Crafts – design your own medieval heraldic banner

Decorate your own medieval banner and design a coat of arms to adorn it.

Using a banner template and craft materials, decorate your own medieval banner and design a coat of arms to adorn it.

The craft leaders will show some examples of medieval banners and their designs, as well as delve into why they were made and other fun facts along the way.

£5 per craft plus a sheet of fun facts to take home.

This session is aimed at ages 5-11yrs, although older creatives are more than welcome.

Glue for fastening decorations will be used in this activity as well as fabric pens for colouring, so clothes for messy activities are advised.

Museum admission does not apply to take part. Accompanying adults benefit from 20% off adult admission to the museum if visiting afterwards. Our new Hidden Hoards exhibition in the museum is not to be missed!
