Bowland Champion Species: Evening Swift Walk
Join us for a relaxed evening exploring the village of Slaidburn, while learning about one of our most fascinating summer visitors – swifts!
Bolton and Bury Swift Group will lead a short guided walk around Slaidburn village to look for swifts and discuss their behaviour, nesting habits and the challenges they face.
After the walk we’ll gather in Slaidburn Village Hall for a short talk featuring insights into swift conservation and how communities can help support these incredible birds.
There'll be time for questions and discussion and light refreshments will be available.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about swifts, enjoy an evening stroll, and connect with others interested in local wildlife.
In the event that the weather isn’t suitable for the walk, the talk will still go ahead.
Booking essential. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
