Clitheroe Castle Museum is managed by Lancashire County Council's museum service, on behalf of Ribble Valley Borough Council.

Clitheroe Castle is surrounded by 16 acres of park.
The grounds include:
- Castle Keep
- Skate Park
- Children's Playground
- War Memorial
- Bandstand
- Bowling Green
- Multi Functional Sports Court
- Labyrinth
Accessible Toilet Facilities
There is a Changing Places toilet available at Clitheroe Castlefields making it accessible to people with severe disabilities. These facilities are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week but a Radar Key is required to gain access.
The state-of-the-art toilet features hoists, curtains, showers, grab rails, adult-sized changing benches, privacy screens and space for carers.
