Food and drink producers in Lancashire are invited to apply for pitches at the award-winning Clitheroe Food Festival.

The festival, organised by Ribble Valley Borough Council and hailed as one of the best in the UK, will take place on Saturday, 12 August.

Over 100 stalls are up for grabs at the free-to-enter festival, which features some of the finest food and drink producers in Lancashire and attracts thousands food enthusiasts from across the North.

Priority will be given to producers from Ribble Valley and Lancashire, but exhibitors from further afield will be considered if their product is of an exceptionally high standard.

Ribble Valley Borough Council has decided to expand this year’s festival into the week-long Ribble Valley Taste Fest.

The fest, from 5 to 12 August, will feature a series of themed ‘walks with taste’ incorporating cheese-making demonstrations, brewery tours and gin-tasting sessions, at farms and food venues throughout the borough, and culminate in the Clitheroe Food Festival.

Festival pitches are on hard standing, but wheeled catering trailers will be accommodated where possible.

Access to electricity is available for a charge in the Clitheroe Market bullring and food court.

Single use plastics are not permitted and street food must be served in compostable containers, with wooden utensils.

Applications to traders new to the festival open at eventowl.co.uk on Monday, 6 March, and further details about the festival are available at clitheroefoodfestival.com.
