The council is backing the national Make a Difference campaign, which runs until February 15 and aims to celebrate the wide range of roles available for people from all backgrounds and skill levels looking to start a career in local government.   

Ribble Valley Borough Council provides essential services that residents rely on every day, such as planning, environmental health, refuse collection and street cleansing.

And the campaign aims to address workforce shortages by attracting new talent into local government, ensuring it can continue to provide the vital services on which communities depend. 

Rosie Elms, chairman of Ribble Valley Borough Council’s personnel committee, said:
