Calling all food enthusiasts – save the date for this year’s Clitheroe Food Festival, which takes place on Saturday, August 8.

The popular festival, organised by Ribble Valley Borough Council and sponsored by Fort Vale Engineering and the Castlewood Care Home, attracts around 25,000 visitors to Clitheroe town centre.

This year’s festival will round off a week of food events being held throughout the borough from August 1 to 7, as part of the Ribble Valley Taste Fest.

Clitheroe Food Festival features some of the region’s best food and drink from around 100 exhibitors, along with a feast of family-friendly fun and huge dollop of street entertainment.

While the Ribble Valley Taste Fest features a series of themed walks, food-making demonstrations and tasting sessions at farms and food venues throughout the borough.

Ribble Valley Borough Council leader Simon Hore said:

“The festival has grown year-on-year and last year attracted around 25,000 people to Clitheroe town centre, which is a phenomenal achievement.

“The council has created a strong narrative around local food and drink over the years and visitors are invited to save the date for a feast of top produce, family fun and a warm Ribble Valley welcome.”
