Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire Police Area 2021 - Results

An Election was held on 6 May 2021 for Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire Police Area.

There is a different form of voting in Police and Crime Commissioner elections, called Supplementary Voting.

There are two stages to Supplementary Voting. In Stage 1, first preference votes are counted. If a candidate receives more than 50 per cent of the first preference votes, he or she is elected and a result is declared. If no candidate receives more than 50 per cent of the first preference votes, the two candidates with the highest number of votes go forward to Stage 2.

In Stage 2, second preference votes for the remaining two candidates are added to the votes they received in Stage 1. The candidate with the highest number of votes after adding the votes from both stages is elected and a result is declared.
