Help for Households

The government have announced new funding for councils called the Crisis and Resilience Fund.

The Department for Work and Pensions will provide local authorities with grant funding, this funding will be provided to Lancashire County Council, for a Crisis and Resilience Fund from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.

This fund is intended to support Local Welfare Provision and will replace the Household Support Fund and Discretionary Housing Payments, which has been provided since October 2021 and ends on 31 March 2026.

The new scheme will be in place from April 2026 for three years.

Lancashire County Council will distribute part of their allocation to the Lancashire District Councils.
