Council Tax Online

Our Council Tax Online portal allows you to view your council tax bill and notify us of any changes in circumstances online.

Registering your Account

To register for your online account, you will need your council tax or business rates account number and your online reference. To find your online reference, please refer to your most recent demand notice, reminder notice or summons. If you do not have your account number or online reference, please contact us for this information.

During the registration process you are asked to input two forms of ID – please only use your online reference and the property post code (with a gap between the two parts of the post code), leaving the other options blank. Please do not enter any digits from your phone number or bank account.

Once registered, you will receive an email asking you to click on a link to authorise your details. This email may go into your junk mail, so please check that. Once done, you will then be able to log into your account.

If, after following these instructions, you are still unable to register, please take a screen shot of the registration page including any details you are entering, and email it to us at: ctax@ribblevalley.gov.uk and say you are unable to register for an account.

If you have an existing account but have not accessed it for some time, your account may now be dormant and you may not be able to log in. If you are unable to log in, you will need to follow the above steps to re-register.
