Call for entries for the Craft Open 2018 Exhibition April 14 – June 23 2018

Annual exhibition, highlighting the wealth of talented craft makers surrounding the Platform Gallery. Connecting visitors with local contemporary makers and their crafts. Entries from designers, makers and artists are being accepted up to the 28 of February 2018. Submit up to 6 pieces for selection.

Awards will be given for :

  • Selectors’ Prize
  • Ribble Valley Prize
  • Best Newcomer Prize
  • The People’s Prize

Exhibition and Shop submissions

We welcome submissions from makers of contemporary craft that is hand produced, original in design and high in quality. To submit your work for selection, please send the following on disc for the attention of the Gallery Co-ordinator:

 A current CV / statement

  • 4-6 good quality images with description, size and prices
  • A stamped addressed envelope for the return of your images

We can accept images by email to platform.gallery@ribblevalley.gov.uk but please limit total size to under 1MB.

We do not exhibit painting or photography.

The Mix

The Mix is the Platform Gallery and Visitor Information Centre’s room available to hire. This flexible space provides the public with a unique space that can be used for a wide variety of uses.

Fresh, Arts & Crafts Stalls

On the first weekend of every month “The Mix” is dedicated to showcasing four changing independent, makers and artists on its Fresh, Art and Craft Stalls. We are inviting artists and makers to apply to have a stall.
