Craft Open 2023
April 17th – July 2nd
This long-standing exhibition is always a popular one in our gallery programme amongst both the artists displaying and the visitors enjoying their delights. The exhibition is focussed on showcasing local craft talent and only artists from Lancashire and its surrounding counties are invited to apply.
As the name suggests the brief is totally open and the only requirements are that the artwork is created in a craft discipline, meaning this exhibition is always a rich diverse mix of disciplines, subject matter, and styles.

Design Nation Showcase at Platform

This Summer sees Platform team up with the Design-Nation to create a showcase of the Northwest and Cornish artists within the organizations prestigious portfolio. Design-Nation are an established collaborator who shares our passion for heritage crafts are committed to shaping the future development and innovation of this important growing sector as part of the wider creative economy.
Northern Star
October 2nd – January 6th
This autumn sees the return of our annual Northern Star exhibition. Let us be your guiding light, let us lead the way to over 50 British artists collections this gift giving season. We have been working hard behind the scenes scouring the length and breadth of the country to collate a wide array of British Craft talent to make it as easy as possible to buy handmade this Christmas. The showcase features several Platform Gallery favourites and a selection of artists brand new to the gallery too…Show your loved ones you care by buying handmade at the Platform this Christmas!
Artwalk Clitheroe
8th October
The Platform Gallery joins the hub of galleries based in our market town allowing visitors to experience an abundant variety of artwork within a short walking distance. A full day can be spent ambling along the route of galleries, taking in the cultural atmosphere of the town. Be prepared to fall in love with an original work of art, this is your chance to take home an everlasting memento of your visit to the Ribble Valley. Each venue involved has its very own individual and inspiring style to enjoy.
