General Election 2019
A General Election will take place on Thursday 12 December 2019.

Polling stations will be open 7:00am - 10:00pm.
Your poll card will show your polling station - for all locations see Polling Stations in the Ribble Valley
Once inside the polling station, you will be asked for your name and address, and your details checked against the electoral register.
You will be given a ballot paper listing the candidates, which you take to a polling booth and mark a cross (X) in the box to the right of the name of the candidate you want to vote for. You then fold the ballot paper in half and put it in the ballot box.
Please do not to write anything else on the ballot paper, or your vote may not be counted, and if you need help completing your ballot paper you can take a companion with you, or polling station staff will be happy to help.
Spoilt/Lost postal votes and Emergency Proxy
The application deadline for the replacement of a spoilt or lost postal vote or emergency proxy vote on the grounds of physical incapacity or a work emergency is 5pm on polling day.
The physical incapacity or work emergency must have occurred after 5pm on 4 December and applications require a declaration signed by a supporter, employer or medical practitioner.
