Edisford Bridge

Edisford Bridge on the edge of Clitheroe is a popular riverside area for friends and families to meet up, especially over the summer months. In addition to a playground and miniature railway, there’s the wonderful River Ribble to bask in, footpaths along the river to follow where you can paddle, picnic on the banks or maybe catch a visit from the ice cream van.

Public parking is available at Edisford Road car park. There are also disabled spaces available at the riverbank car park for blue badge holders only. There is barrier which requires a fob, obtainable for a £20 refundable deposit from Ribblesdale Pool. Please take your blue badge to the pool or if that is not possible send a picture of the badge to pool.reception@ribblevalley.gov.uk together with your name and telephone number and the staff will contact you to take the deposit payment over the phone and send the fob to you. Please obtain a fob before attempting to go to the riverbank to avoid having to try and turn your vehicle around at the barrier.
