Ribble Valley Borough Council submitted a bid to the recently announced Levelling Up Fund on Friday 18 June. For more information please download a copy of the submission.

The Levelling Up Fund, which applies to the whole of the UK, seeks to invest £4.8 billion in high value local infrastructure. The fund seeks to focus on the needs of individual places and the strategic case for investment.

The Fund is one part of this government’s broader offer to level up opportunities across the UK.

Longridge has been identified as an area which fits into the Regeneration and town centre investment theme of the funding, and this is where the Council’s bid has been focussed.

Strategic Vision Document

Strategic Vision Document has been produced by Buttress Architects and was submitted in support of the bid.

Public Engagement 8 June 2021

Two public engagement sessions with local residents, to understand their thoughts on the future of Longridge, were held virtually on 8 June. The thoughts and ideas expressed at these sessions were be incorporated into the bid and full details of the sessions included within the Strategic Vision Document.
