Gambling Act 2005: Consultation on Revised Statement of Principles 2022-2025
Section 349 of The Gambling Act 2005 requires that every local authority publish a Statement of the Principles that it proposes to apply when exercising its functions under the Act. The Act also requires that the local authority review its policy at least every 3 years and as such, our existing Statement needs to be renewed in January 2022.
At its meeting on 7 September 2021, the Council’s Licensing Committee decided that prior to the revised statement being adopted, there should be a consultation period (between 10 September 2021 and 24 October 2021) during which time consultees and members of the public may submit comments.
