Lancashire County Council Elections May 2025
Lancashire County Council elections will be held across the county on 1st May 2025.
Postal Votes:
Royal Mail is prioritising the delivery and return of postal votes.
However, when postal votes have either been lost or not received it is possible for a replacement postal ballot pack to be issued from Friday 25th April until 5pm on polling day Thursday 1st May (as set out by the Electoral Commission).
If you have applied for but not received a postal ballot pack then please contact the elections office on 01200 414411 to arrange a replacement.
Completed postal votes can be returned by hand to the council offices in Clitheroe by 5pm on polling day, or at any polling station in the same county council division, up until polls close at 10pm. In both instances you will have to complete and sign a short form, otherwise your vote will be rejected.
If, following the re-issue of a replacement postal vote, you find or receive the original, you should throw it away. It will have been cancelled and won’t be counted, even if it is returned to us.
